Field sales software reviews, in short
On G2, seven field sales tools score between 4.5 and 4.9, a band too narrow to choose from. The same tools on Google Play range from 2.2 to 5.0. G2 and Capterra agree within 0.3 stars for every tool we read on both; the phone stores differ from them by up to 2.3.
The two highest G2 scores rest on the two smallest review counts: RepMove 4.9 from 17 reviews and Leadbeam 4.8 from 82. The widest gap belongs to SPOTIO, 4.5 on G2 and 2.2 on Google Play. All figures as each platform displayed them, read between 18 and 29 July 2026.
Where this comes from
Every rating and count below was read on the platform itself and recorded with the date: G2, Capterra, the Apple App Store and Google Play. The quotes come from the review reading behind our field sales software comparison, which includes all 78 SPOTIO reviews on Capterra and about 200 of the 204 Badger Maps reviews there. We build Lead Mapper, a competitor, so we left ourselves out of every table and chart on this page. A blank cell means we did not record a rating on that platform, not that none exists.
Field sales software reviews: the ratings table
Seven tools, four platforms, one row each. Every cell is the star rating and the review or rating count exactly as the platform showed it on the day we read it.
| Tool | G2 | Capterra | Apple App Store | Google Play |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Badger Maps | 4.7 (336) | 4.6 (204) | 4.5 (1.1K) | 4.0 (399) |
| SPOTIO | 4.5 (399) | 4.3 (78) | 3.4 (322) | 2.2 (278) |
| SalesRabbit | 4.5 (433) | 4.2 (191) | 4.5 (1.2K) | 3.3 (686) |
| Map My Customers | 4.5 (152) | 4.5 (69) | 4.1 (450) | 3.8 (146) |
| Route4Me | 4.7 (132) | 4.5 (411) | not recorded | 4.4 (15,300) |
| Leadbeam | 4.8 (82) | not recorded | 4.7 (15) | no ratings yet |
| RepMove | 4.9 (17) | not recorded | 4.8 (62) | 5.0 (26) |
G2 read 20 to 28 July 2026, for Badger Maps, SPOTIO and SalesRabbit from G2's comparison module on 28 July. Capterra read 18 to 20 July, App Store 18 to 27 July, Google Play 18 July for Badger Maps and 29 July for the rest. The App Store rounds counts above one thousand. Leadbeam's Play listing showed 100+ downloads and no ratings.
Read down the G2 column and the tools look interchangeable: seven scores inside four tenths of a star. Read across any row and they stop looking alike.
G2 and Capterra agree. The app stores do not agree with them.
For the five tools we read on both G2 and Capterra, the two sites differ by 0.0 (Map My Customers), 0.1 (Badger Maps), 0.2 (SPOTIO and Route4Me) and 0.3 (SalesRabbit). Two separate review pools, the same verdict within a third of a star.
The phone stores break that agreement. Google Play sits below G2 for five of the six tools that have a Play rating: by 0.3 for Route4Me, 0.7 for Badger Maps and Map My Customers, 1.2 for SalesRabbit and 2.3 for SPOTIO. The one exception is RepMove, 0.1 higher on Play than on G2, from 26 ratings. The App Store usually lands between the two, and for the four tools we read in both stores and on both buyer platforms, Android is the lowest score in the row every time: Badger Maps, SPOTIO, SalesRabbit and Map My Customers.
Who writes a review on G2, and who writes one on Google Play
Our reading of the gap, and it is an interpretation of the numbers rather than a measurement: the two kinds of platform collect votes from two different people. The reviewer titles on the buyer platforms point that way. The most recent Badger Maps reviews we read on G2 were written by a Director of Sales and Marketing, a Territory Manager and a COO, all in July 2026. On one page of Route4Me's Capterra reviews, the 25 reviewers were logistics coordinators, route planning specialists, field service technicians and fleet roles, with one sales rep among them.
A rating on Google Play comes from whoever installed the app. For a tool that a company buys and hands to its team, that is the rep. SPOTIO's Play listing carries the clearest sentence about that difference we found anywhere in this research:
I'm not a fan, but I'm forced to use the app because my company uses the app.SPOTIO reviewer, Google Play, September 2025, read 29 July 2026
An older App Store review of SPOTIO describes the same split from the rep's side: "it's focused more on the owner and not on the rep. My dashboard tracks all activities except the ones that matter to me as a door to door rep" (December 2018). The favourable version exists too. A SalesRabbit reviewer on Google Play wrote in September 2024 that "the app is great from the perspective of a sales rep. I easily track the leads assigned to me, what stage they're in, and can have customers sign documents quickly in app."
Same store, opposite verdicts. The store does not decide the score; it decides who gives it. A gap between a buyer platform and a phone store is therefore information: the distance between the desk that signed and the phone that runs the day, the same seam our page on outside sales vs inside sales follows through the software.
The rating gap follows the buying model
If the gap measures the distance between the person who buys and the person who uses, it should be widest where that distance is largest. Set next to what each vendor publishes about how you buy, it mostly is.
| Tool | How you buy, in the vendor's own words | G2 minus Play |
|---|---|---|
| SPOTIO | "We don't offer a free trial, but we provide comprehensive demos"; "Minimum team size: 5+ field sales professionals" | 2.3 |
| SalesRabbit | Accounts "will remain active for the full contract length"; the account executive helps "determine a minimum number of user licenses" | 1.2 |
| Map My Customers | "Most teams start with a guided demo and pilot rather than a self-serve free trial." | 0.7 |
| Badger Maps | "We offer a 14-day free trial for individual users" | 0.7 |
| Route4Me | Store listing: "This app is for professional drivers & couriers" | 0.3 |
| RepMove | Flex, "For individual users", subscribed and cancelled through the App Store or Google Play | -0.1 |
| Leadbeam | Every plan leads to "Book a demo" or "Talk to sales" | no Play ratings |
Quotes from spotio.com/pricing (19 Jul 2026), SalesRabbit's billing FAQ (29 Jul), mapmycustomers.com/faq (29 Jul), badgermapping.com/pricing (18 Jul), Route4Me's Google Play listing (29 Jul), repmove.app/pricing (19 Jul) and help.repmove.app (29 Jul), leadbeam.ai/pricing (29 Jul). The last column is our subtraction from the ratings table.
The two widest gaps belong to the two vendors whose published terms are built around a team contract: SPOTIO with no trial and a five-seat floor, SalesRabbit with full-term contracts and a negotiated user minimum. The two narrowest belong to tools whose store listing speaks to the person using the app. RepMove's Flex plan is bought and cancelled inside the app stores themselves, and Route4Me's listing addresses the driver who installs it, 15,300 of whom have rated it.
Map My Customers is the counterexample and belongs in the same paragraph: a demo-and-pilot model with "a 12-month commitment", and a gap of only 0.7, level with Badger's trial-led model. Seven tools are an observation, not a law, and Leadbeam cannot be placed without Play ratings. What the pattern does support is a working rule for a buyer. The more a tool is sold to a manager, the more its buyer-platform score describes the manager's experience. Contract detail is on SPOTIO pricing and SalesRabbit pricing, seat minimums in the field sales software price index.
The five-star end of the table is the thin end
Sort the G2 column and the order looks like a ranking. Put the number of reviews next to each score and the order turns upside down: the higher the score, the fewer people gave it.
RepMove's 4.9 comes from 17 reviews, and the ones we could see were all written in January 2025. Leadbeam's 4.8 comes from 82, with none below four stars: 77 at five and 5 at four. At the other end, SalesRabbit's 4.5 rests on 433 reviews and SPOTIO's on 399. Neither small base is a mark against the product. Leadbeam's reviews are uniformly positive on both platforms where it has any, and RepMove is rated at the top on all three of its platforms. They are simply the scores with the least weight behind them.
There is a second reason the G2 column bunches up: the low end of the scale is barely used there. By our arithmetic on G2's own star distributions, reviews of one or two stars make up 10 of SPOTIO's 399 G2 reviews (2.5 percent), 3 of Map My Customers' 152 (2.0), 7 of SalesRabbit's 433 (1.6), 3 of Badger Maps' 334 (0.9, distribution as of 18 July), and none at all for Route4Me, Leadbeam or RepMove. On Google Play, the same bottom of the scale is what carries SPOTIO's average down to 2.2.
Route4Me is the check on the idea that more ratings simply mean lower ratings: 15,300 Google Play reviews put it at 4.4, within 0.3 of its G2 score of 4.7. A large crowd does not pull a score down by itself. A large crowd that did not choose the tool is a different matter.
What low reviews are about, platform by platform
The two kinds of platform do not only score differently. Their lowest reviews are about different things. On the buyer platforms, the low reviews we read keep returning to the contract: renewal, cancellation, refunds, minimums. In the phone stores, they keep returning to the app itself: crashes, lag, reinstalling. Each quote below is one attributed review with its date, not a verdict on the product.
| Where | Tool | What the reviewer wrote | When |
|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | Map My Customers | "If you try to cancel your subscription, they will charge you anyway and won't give you your money back" | Sep 2021 |
| G2 | SPOTIO | "They hide things in their contract and try to take money from you" | Jan 2026 |
| Capterra | SPOTIO | "Locks you into a ongoing yearly contract and charges for users" | Jul 2021 |
| G2 | SalesRabbit | "We are stuck paying for a 1-year contract" | 2022 |
| Google Play | SPOTIO | "I have to uninstall and reinstall this app every day to get it running" | Jul 2026 |
| Google Play | SPOTIO | "It takes 10+ seconds to pull up leads regularly." | Apr 2025 |
| Google Play | Badger Maps | "constantly receiving error messages" | Jul 2025 |
| Google Play | SalesRabbit | "App isn't maintained anymore as they are focusing all their efforts on Salesrabbit Plus" | Jul 2026 |
All quotes verbatim from the named platform, read 18 to 29 July 2026. On G2, all three of Map My Customers' one-star reviews concern refunds or cancellation rather than features. SPOTIO's contract complaints on Capterra appear in 2017, 2019 and 2021, and the G2 review above extends the line to 2026.
The counterexample sits in the App Store, and it belongs here so the table does not overstate its case. A SalesRabbit reviewer wrote in March 2024: "They continued to charge me $600 every 3 months even though I requested to cancel over and over again." Billing complaints reach the phone stores too. The direction still holds for what a buyer needs from each source. A buyer platform's lowest reviews warn you about the contract you are about to sign. A phone store's lowest reviews warn you about the day your reps are about to have. Both are due diligence, and neither replaces the other.
Trustpilot and TrustRadius: where field sales software reviews are missing
Two well-known review sites have almost nothing to say about this category. As read on 29 July 2026, Route4Me, SPOTIO and SalesRabbit had no Trustpilot reviews at all, and Route4Me's page read "Be the first to review route4me.com". Badger Maps had a TrustScore of 4.5 from 19 reviews, split into 79 percent five-star and 21 percent one-star with nothing in between, under Trustpilot's own notice that "This company hasn't invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative" and a count of "0 reviews in the last 12 months".
TrustRadius showed three ratings for Badger Maps and two for SPOTIO, the SPOTIO profile without a single review text. Its insight summaries are, in its own words, "summaries of user sentiment data from TrustRadius reviews and, when necessary, third party data sources", which makes them unsuitable as a record of what users actually wrote.
Field sales software reviews in our own search data
We can see part of this question from the other side of the search box. In the 28 days from 14 August to 10 September 2026, Google showed lead-mapper.com for 20 non-brand queries about reviews or ratings, 178 impressions in total, and not one click. None of our pages had been built to answer them, which is the reason this one exists.
The split is the finding. Queries that ask which tool is highest rated, long questions such as "highest rated field sales software for door-to-door and territory sales teams tracking daily visits", already put us on page one at an average position of 5.7, landing on our comparison guide. Queries that name a category plus the word reviews, such as "sales mapping software reviews", sit around position 32, and queries that name one vendor, led by "badger maps reviews", sit around 19. They are asking for the one number this page argues does not exist on its own.
How to read field sales software reviews before you buy
Five checks, each taken from the tables above.
- Read the store your reps carry. If the team is on Android, the Google Play score is the one that describes their day. For five of the six tools here with a Play rating, it is the lowest score in the row.
- Read the count before the decimal. A 4.9 from 17 reviews and a 4.5 from 433 are not in an order. The narrower the base, the less a tenth of a star means.
- Read the date of the newest reviews. A profile whose visible reviews stop in one month tells you when people last had something to say, not what the product is like now.
- Read the lowest reviews on the buyer platforms for the contract. Cancellation, renewal and seat minimums are what they are about, and those are terms you can still put in writing before you sign.
- Put the app on a rep's phone during the trial. Every rating on this page is somebody else's phone. Where a vendor offers no trial, ask for a pilot on the devices your team actually uses.
Badger Maps reviews, SPOTIO reviews and the other five: where each breakdown lives
The review content for each tool, with more quotes and dates, sits on its own page:
- Badger Maps reviews: the lasso tool, route time savings and a price complaint that recurs across a decade of reviews, on Lead Mapper vs Badger Maps, with the price history behind that complaint on Badger Maps pricing.
- SPOTIO reviews: the contract pattern from 2017 to 2026 and SPOTIO's own four-platform rating table on SPOTIO pricing.
- SalesRabbit reviews: what reviewers say about the add-ons and the full-term contract on SalesRabbit pricing, and the two-vendor rating gap on SPOTIO vs SalesRabbit.
- Route4Me reviews: the routing and replanning complaints from its Capterra pages on Route4Me pricing.
- Map My Customers, Leadbeam and RepMove: side by side with the rest in our field sales software comparison.
Where Lead Mapper fits
We are not in the tables, on purpose: a vendor reading its competitors' reviews should not also place itself in the ranking it built. What we can say about ourselves is the part a buyer can check without a review site. Lead Mapper is $27 per user per month with routes, territories and prospecting included, and the trial needs no credit card and no call, so the app can be on a rep's phone the same day.
How it routes, maps territories and connects to a CRM is on sales routing software, sales territory mapping and CRM mapping software.
FAQ
What is the highest rated field sales software?
On G2, as read in July 2026: RepMove 4.9 from 17 reviews, Leadbeam 4.8 from 82, Badger Maps 4.7 from 336, Route4Me 4.7 from 132, and SPOTIO, SalesRabbit and Map My Customers at 4.5 from 399, 433 and 152. The two highest scores rest on the two smallest review counts, so the order says more about sample size than about the products. Read the count and the phone-store rating next to every score.
Are G2 and Capterra reviews reliable for field sales software?
They are consistent with each other: for the five tools we read on both, G2 and Capterra never differ by more than 0.3 stars. They also contain very few low scores, with reviews of one or two stars making up between 0 and 2.5 percent of each vendor's G2 total. What they record is the view of the people who chose the software, which is useful and incomplete.
Why is SPOTIO rated so much lower on Google Play than on G2?
SPOTIO holds 4.5 from 399 reviews on G2 and 2.2 from 278 on Google Play, a spread of 2.3 stars and the widest of the seven tools we read. Its recent Android reviews describe crashes and slow loading, and one reviewer in September 2025 wrote that they only use the app because their company does. SPOTIO sells through demos with a five-seat minimum, so the person rating it on G2 and the person rating it on Google Play are rarely the same person.
Which field sales app has the most reviews?
Route4Me, by a wide margin: 15,300 reviews on Google Play at 4.4 and more than a million downloads, as read on 29 July 2026. Its own store listing addresses professional drivers and couriers. Among the tools aimed at sales reps, SalesRabbit (1.2K ratings on the App Store, 686 on Google Play) and Badger Maps (1.1K on the App Store, 399 on Google Play) have the largest bases.
What do Badger Maps reviews say?
As read in July 2026: 4.7 on G2 from 336 reviews, 4.6 on Capterra from 204, 4.5 on the App Store from 1.1K ratings and 4.0 on Google Play from 399. Reviewers praise the lasso tool, the time saved on route planning and the support, and the complaint that recurs most across the years is price. The Android score is the lowest of the four, in line with Android reviews that describe error messages and lag.
How should I read field sales software reviews before buying?
Read four numbers, not one: the rating on a buyer platform, the rating in the app store your reps actually use, the number of reviews behind each, and the date of the newest ones. Then read the lowest reviews on the buyer platform for contract and cancellation terms, and put the app on a rep's phone during the trial.
Judge it on your reps' phones, not on a review site.
Lead Mapper is $27 per user per month, everything included. Free trial, no credit card, no demo call, cancel anytime.
